Background: Ryuichi was born from day one with a debilitating illness. One that made it hard to even get up and walk around some days. As he aged it got better and able to deal with it enough to attend school...at least on a semi-regular basis. His parents worried this might hinder his ability in the real world when the day comes he's strong enough to go out on his own. Human contact with people besides your relatives is important. So at a pretty young age he was introduced to computers, set up on kiddy websites, and as he got older moving on as his interests and friends changed. It worked pretty much as intended.

However, Ryuichi himself wasn't set to just spend his days in the virtual world. It was nice and all but he did want to walk on his own two legs at some point. Have real conversations, with people face to face, and skype only gets you so far. He looked into researching all sorts of ways he could make himself better. Miracle cures, meditation, prayer, anything would do if it could work.

That was when he discovered the site of the "Sons and Daughters of Wisdom" a cult...or well that'd be rude to call them that, it was more like some kind of Pagan group. They seemed pretty harmless. From looking over the community blog it seemed like they had some really interesting things going for them, especially since it seemed back by a rather well-known philanthropist. Scanning their events he saw they were having a rally pretty soon. On a day that he was clean to leave the house no less. Ryuichi was desperate and he honestly had nothing to lose, why not check it out?

Upon meeting the gathering, it was almost as if fate was just handing him everything. It was a gathering about aiding the sick, and getting people to join their group to help their charity work. If it wasn't for their weird worship of a goddess only called "Romana" it would almost seem like a completely normal non-profit. Suddenly Ryuichi was picked out from the crowd by a rather important looking woman, one the speakers had treated as if she were an Avatar of the goddess...which was pretty accurate when she introduced herself. She spoke as if she knew Ryuichi, and the other few people selected from the crowd, personally. She handed him a blue stone, which shined upon his touching it, the stars of the Dragon constellation burning in an aura around him.

"Congratulations, you're our new Knight it looks like," stated the woman. Ryuichi felt himself burn with a celestial power, wiping him clean of his illness. He stood upright, feeling stronger by the second, until he was practically a glowing symbol of health. He couldn't thank them enough and promised to serve her, to do anything to pay her back for what she's done. To this she requested only one thing.

"Work as your fellow Knights do across the world, and end the cycle of the gods' war."

Original canon background: Several centuries ago, in a plain beyond our own and even further on a distant planet, beings only describable as "gods" waged war. As time went on- the war ended with only two gods remaining. The Primordial Darkness, Erebus, eventually won out in the entire battle, having it overthrown in his favor by the manipulations of the Fates for unknown reasons. Erebus cast the life of the gods into our dimension- sealing their souls into a cycle of rebirth and combat. They had no choice but to continue, never to make any progress against their true enemy.

It seems the fates would forever be against the gods, their lives and rebirths starting to pile up in their eternal battle, and for the past few generations of cycles they have continued their strife on Earth. However one moment, one weakness in the fate's fabric that controlled them, allowed for a trigger to occur across the world. A shower of meteorites fell in various places across the Earth, and within them were mystical gems that surged with the power of the very stars themselves. In response, agents of Erebus attempted to intercept but through the humans that had followed the gods using the magic, they were slain. It was a mark of the changes to the cycle, the gods just may be able to escape.

Taking the stones of the meteorites she procured, a goddess under the title of "Romana" started gaining more support over the years. Practicing and preaching that this would mark the end of suffering- not just for herself and the gods that fate and Erebus laughed at- but also the innocents and planets that had been collateral to the eternal cycle of battle. She formed a proper religious community, with followers that loved her as if she were their own protective mother: The Sons and Daughters of Wisdom. A "cult" backed by a rich philanthropist that had the tools necessary to seek out her champions that would shatter the wheels that bound her.

Of course the other gods got wind of this, and were clued in by their own discoveries of the meteorites. They weren't of the same position as Romana though, even if they could shatter the cycle of fate, they had better motivations in their minds than just helping humans and spreading peace. They wanted to become more powerful, destroy the stalemate the cycle provided. It gave a good reason for the chosen 4 warriors of the Zodiac under Romana to battle and protect her and the world. Their combat definitely showed their effects of the rippling and tearing on the fabric of destiny. However there was a minor knot, as the other stones only reacted to specific people and chose what the stars deemed worthy. Nobody mortal had a full image of who could use them effectively, but the gods in possession could divine the clues to find their warriors.

More to the point- through those divinations, at least for Romana, there were special stones. Three to be specific. Heroes that had turned into constellations as according to Earth's ancient myths, and that seemed to have a power beyond even the 13 Zodiac stones. "Three Heroes", Perseus, Hercules, and Orion- the stones which had the power they needed to truly rip their cycle asunder and defeat Erebus. To find them was the true goal of Romana and get things underway for sure. Godslayers unlike any other human imaginable. They were the true key to shattering fate.

And so using their coincidental titles and amazing powers- a new age of myth began, of cults and pagans, of revolutionaries and tyrants, all in search of those who could wage war on behalf of the so-called gods. The battle of spirituality and information came to center around sites that felt the most in tune with the seven elements, which were horded by the gods to prepare their final campaigns. It was a hope by them all, no matter how good or evil the motivation, that this would be the final age, and take down those which mock and manipulate them. However all things the god use are repetition, even their most mighty tools that have existed to the modern era from the ancient, that served those the gods seemed to share names with.

Humans.

Personality: Ryucihi appears like a calm nice guy outwardly, and he's a lover of all life. Due to his illness he used to be really reserved in person, but always kind of blustery and a team player online. To make up for all that time he lost when he was sick Ryuichi is a go-getter, a lot more forward and helpful towards people. He's by no way naive though, he's not going to be fooled by the sort of lies you'd through at someone, just because the internet itself is all about lying, so arguably despite his friendly nature he's not exactly trusting of everyone to the core. But anyone can work that away eventually, and curiosity is always humanity's weakness. What's more one doesn't have to trust or know someone to throw their life away to protect them, and Ryuichi is near self-destructive in his nature of acting as a shield for people.

On top of his somewhat untrusting nature there was a few more side effects, with the only social interaction he had being the internet in a secluded home. He's very forward, almost lacking in tact at some points. That isn't to say he's apathetic or any thing, in fact he's very emotional. Though his emotions can be superficial and kind of amusing more than anything, it's to the point he won't watch animal adoption commercials just so he doesn't become a blubbering crybaby. Ryuichi does his best to hide this from people he's only just met, but he's not very good at avoiding things in a subtle way. One day he hopes he can get a hold of himself, especially as if he can't control his emotions he'll never pass his master's final test.

Besides his emotional strain, if there was one thing that bothered him it's his weakness. He joined the "Sons and Daughters of Wisdom", Minerva's followers, as a desperate attempt to cure his illness. Which did happen when he became the Knight of Draco. But he still looks back on that time and hates it. Any failure or weakness, especially in regards to himself, can set him off. He tries to restrain his frustration, but a dark and quiet anger isn't possible to stop sometimes.

Though for as much as he hates his old weakness, there is still a massive crack in his way of living. He devotes himself to Romana and protecting everything she does, even if it would mean throwing his life away. To save people's lives, to keep the world from being damaged, to make sure she found her way down the road she sought- Ryuichi would throw himself before the enemy to stop that. And likewise the loss of anything related to those things would wear him down. Even if his body is strong, his mind still may be weak to a degree, and if enough tragedy would happen to sand down his heart to nothing, he'd end up as nothing but a shell- lost in the world. Or worse, a mindless fighting machine.

Nothing in particular really upsets him outside of his hatred of failure and weakness, but a close runner up is his irritation of those that can't seem to grasp the obvious. The people he had the most interaction with were ones that always needed help for things he told them, what felt like, thousands of times. Or even worse people he only met once that seemed dumber than rocks. "How can someone not know this stuff?" he figures. Ryuichi hasn't quite gotten the idea that not everyone and their mom knows how to use Google, and it's doubtful that without a smack to the face that he ever will grasp that fact. He certainly isn't going to hate anyone for it, but it's the kind of thing that drives him bananas.

Capabilities and Resources: Ryuichi comes from a pretty wealthy family. One that was able to make sure he could keep up his studies, despite being as sick as he was. That's not too odd, but considering they became one of the main backers of Romana's group after Ryuichi joined is pretty out there. As such he has the expenses necessary to cover his allies' medical bills at the least.

After joining up with Romana, Ryuichi learned martial arts from a strict but fair master. He's yet to pass his final test, but he is a competent enough hand to hand combatant to throw himself against military pilots, or against opponents wielding weapons as he pilots his machine.

Type: Combatant

Unit Name: Aotatsu
Unit Description: A humanoid, bipedal, blue, robot with traits resembling a dragons. It bears the etchings of wings on it's back but does not seem to actually have a pair. On it's arm rests a shield which unfurls out into a dual sided sword called the "Dragon Blade". The sides seem to look an awful lot like a missing pair of dragon wings.

The robot itself is lacking in actual weaponry and armaments, and is more of a melee fighter, with moves channeling an inner energy from Ryuichi and the Draco Constellation. There's no real name for it but Ryuichi's deemed to just call for the power of "my stars" when drawing it out. As such most of the attacks are martial arts strikes, enhanced by the power of "The Stars". Further- despite the lack of armaments Aotatsu can generate water and ice to further enhance his techniques, or generate some kind of long range measure of attacking should he need it.

Aotatsu is the manifestation of its "pilot's" power through the Dragon Constellation, and as such the mech is actually summoned magically, appearing via a shining burst of water around Ryuichi. It is connected to him as if he were the machine. Unfortunately this causes the drawback that any damage done to it will be transferred to Ryuichi. Though he won't lose limbs he will lose the feeling in them as if they weren't there. Should the machine receive a fatal blow and explode, Ryuichi will lose consciousness and the form of his machine will disappear.

Though the Dragon Constellation stone will keep Ryuichi alive and help heal him, he still needs to rest and recover in order to gain back the full strength of his machine's damage.
