The Major Dieties

"Romana"- the leader of the Sons and Daughters of Wisdom, a goddess who defied Erebus in the past and is now hiding her identity for the sake of her mission. Once the hero is found her guise will be cast off to signal the end of her enemy. She is kind and cares about the well-being of the world, and realizes once Erebus has stopped having his fun of toying with the gods he'll move on to the mortals. In a previous battle between her and Ares she lost an eye, although this was in a previous incarnation, it has mysteriously carried over into this one, causing her to be blind in one eye.

Ares- The God of Warfare who knows Romana's true identity and constantly gets into tussles with her. In this incarnation he was born into money and used it to buy himself a private army, mecha factory, and a flying warship calls "Mars". He revels in battle but is too lazy to find the constellation stones besides the Golden ones already in his hands. He enjoys nothing more but the scene of battle even if it's his units that lose (unless it's something he really wants but cannot buy), he sees them as offerings to himself seeing as he is a god of war and all.

Poseidon- King of the Sea, a grouchy old man who died a bit later than the other gods and thus reincarnated later. Despite being a little boy he has a cult of extremist worshipers who study in magic. He seeks the constellation stones so he can take over the world for himself, wanting to gain proper respect before trying to take on Erebus. Among the gods, him and Romana have the most Golden Knights under their belts, if only because Poseidon thinks he should keep all the thematic aquatic ones to himself.

Erebus- The Primordial Darkness, the being who allied with the Fates and for both their own amusement, defeated the gods and locked them into a cycle of death and rebirth. Only one god still stands by his side as a pawn. Although he is seeking to corrupt the world in his games, he knows he doesn't really run the show.

The Sisters of Fate/The Fates- Triplets who alter the web of reality around the gods and those around them to suit their whims. They used to be neutral and let things flow as it was meant to be, but Erebus lead them down a dark path and now play with people however they want. They cause the most damage to the world in Erebus campaign of chaos.

Nemesis- Goddess of Revenge, she is the only god still holding her position for betraying the others on a grudge from the eons ago. She is Erebus pawn but doesn't care truly, as she rather revel in the Chaos she generates from the position. She gathers constellation stones for the Fates at their request, since they understand how useful they are.
Golden Knights

Gemini Ford and Grey- Twins that serve under Ares, they enjoy nothing but a good fight and a good challenge. Their mech can split from one into two, in order to gain a dominant control over space. It's been implied between the gods that the Gemini Knight would become stronger, and gain power to manipulate the dimensional fabric if one twin were to slay the other and attain Gemini's true power. Despite their addiction to battle and taking over the field, neither would consider truly doing this.

Taurus Grimm- Another Knight under Ares, and does he fit under him. Grimm is obsessed with breaking things, much like a raging bull. He doesn't just derive pleasure from hearing bones crack though. Grimm wants to make his enemies all fall into the deepest despair, to hear their hearts break. Though his intentions aren't all about war, in fact he serves Ares honorably and loyally for saving his life when he was about to hit rock bottom. A dangerous opponent, but on the side of good he could be the support you really need.

Ophiuchus Mina- Bodyguard of Romana and trainer of the Knights that serve under Romana. She doesn't take on most active jobs due to suffering a wound while protecting one of her trainees. She's perfectly fine with sitting around as she is now, but she will throw her life on the line for her job and to serve Romana.

Libra Tohma- Ryuichi's martial arts master who took him under his wing once he finished Mina's training regiment. He believes in balancing things through actions rather than words, as he can't sit around doing nothing. Unlike most Knights, as Libra, he carries a multitude of weapons under him instead of one or two. Though they are only to be used in the most dire circumstances as Libra's weapons are of a godly level. This makes him responsible as a judge over when he should and shouldn't help the other Knights, although he does it more often than one would think for that kind of position.

Sagittarius Kido- Romana's trusted advisor and bodyguard, he has been beside this incarnation of the godddess since birth. He is kind and loyal, but is also probably the most brutal of warriors under Romana when the chips are down. Saggittarius' power is quick as light, beyond the speed any other mortal could handle. He is the closest person to Romana because nobody else could ever get past him.

Knights

Andromeda Shouichi- A former friend turned stalker of Ryuichi. He is incredibly naive and sells himself short, people got sick of it really quickly but Ryuichi kept telling him he wasn't so worthless. Even when everyone else abandoned him his blue haired saviour was there. Until Romana's cult took away his love and attention. Ryuichi hadn't seen him for years until the man got chosen by the Andromeda stone. However, Shouichi had gotten spiteful, he decided it was either him or the cult, and Ryuichi couldn't rightly make that decision. He didn't feel for Shouichi the same way he did. So now they fight as star crossed rivals, Shouichi constantly manipulated by the forces that would oppose Romana.

Owl Merida- One of Romana's close friends, she acts as the go between for Ryuichi and the cult in order for him to receive orders and request assistance from Unity group. Although something about her is a bit off. In truth she is formerly an agent of Hades, but since Hades has long since fell into depression he has no interest in the battle against Erebus. Or it seems that way since Merida hasn't quit her position. She does dodge out at the most important moments though, supposedly to check on her former master.

Enemy units
Ares brand Gespenst and Huckebein: They're just Maroon/Red painted Gespenst and Huckebeins, nothing to really explain besides that. All of them have the sigil of twin dog heads on their shoulders.
Telkhines- Aquatic themed, magical units, that serve as Poseidon's foot soldiers. They're not worth much outside of water but they make up with their powerful energy attacks from mystic staves. Staves bestowed by the mighty Poseidon himself...even if he could toss them out at his leisure. The king of the sea sees them exactly for what they are, mooks and loyal shields.
Chaos Demons: Beasts in service to Erebus, born from the very darkness he generates. They are nothing if not dangerous. As beings made of chaos and darkness they're not exactly focused in outward appearance but their function is clear. Kill the gods and those that serve them for master Erebus.
Furies- Small and fast, they don't pack as much power as their allies but they can crush their opponents easily and with anger, swarming down from above, or below, or whichever direction to tear flesh and metal asunder. Hope you can squash their fragile frames before they cover you from head to toe.
Nabasu- The foot soldiers of the demons, although selling them that low isn't suggested. They can still make an easy meal out of the creatures that oppose them. They are cruel and tactical, using anything at their disposal to make up for lack of weaponry. Even though they can surprise their opponents with their tail and spawning in weapons of dark magic as they please.
Balor- Big ugly evil dragons. Breathing inky black fire, screech to stun their enemies, and in general are not something you want to go up against. These are the heavies of the Chaos Demons. One wrong step and they'll be pushing you six feet under. However with their size comes their being slow if they have to move on the ground. That's about the only saving grace though.
